Our Story

Hi there!

My name is Alexandria and my mom’s name is Charlie. We are the owners of Apparitions Vintage village and this is the little story about how it came to be.

One day as my mom and I were driving down the street in our town in Kentucky, we were discussing the idea of making an old spooky house into a bed and breakfast. When My mom asked me what I would call it, I said “apparitions” and I guess the name just stuck in my head.

later on I graduated with my masters degree in history and at the same time my mom retired from her job as an assistant teacher. While having coffee one day at the local coffee shop, Purdy’s we were discussing another imagined business venture. We thought it would be so cool to have a vintage store next door to our favorite coffee shop! Little did we know that the building would be coming available soon. When we saw the for rent sign soon after our discussion we couldn’t believe it! We took the tour of the store and quickly knew we just had to try. It had been a shared dream of ours to have our own business for as long as I can remember and it was so wild to see it actually coming true! We have been in business since August of 2018 and it has truly been a blessing to be able to work with my family and live out a dream that I never thought would come true.
